ABOUT ME
MY STORY
Growing up between Saudi Arabia and England, I have developed a meaningful connection to the world of business and technology. Travelling back and forth exposed me to how different cultures and ideals impact the growth of technologies and markets within their specific region. I have watched Saudi Aramco evolve into something much more than just an oil company as a part of the country's effort to diversify its economy; showing me that even the largest of organisations have to adapt in order to survive. My studies at Goldsmiths University of London, where I pursued a degree in Business Computing and Entrepreneurship, have equipped me with a diverse skill set and a passion for UX design. Throughout my time there, I honed my abilities in UX/UI and business-computing principles enabling me to take a holistic approach to problem-solving.
Founding and managing my online clothing business, The Hyperion Project, was a defining experience. From establishing effective communication channels with suppliers worldwide to leveraging my computer science knowledge to optimise our website's visibility through SEO, I have gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of running a successful e-commerce business. Moreover, my entrepreneurial journey has taught me the importance of creative thinking, effective branding, and adapting to the ever-changing demands of the market. Outside of academia, my work experience at Saudi Aramco in the Middle East, allowed me to witness firsthand how technology shapes the entertainment industry.
As I aim to commence my career, I am excited to merge my diverse background, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial mindset. I am eager to contribute to the ever-expanding role of computer science in business and apply my knowledge to create meaningful user experiences. With a commitment to innovation, a strong work ethic, and a passion for continuous learning, I am confident that I will make a valuable contribution to any organisation.
